I have been canvassing over Catford(se london) and have picked up some realy good work the last few months mainly due to that its dark when i start which is great as i only knock on houses where people are in, i miss out rows of 5-10 houses sometimes where no lights are on which would be so much wasted time in summer making the difference of getting 2 or 10 new customers in a night! In a few months it will be still light untill gone 9pm making it that much harder and time consuming gaining the new customers. The best time is now to beat the daylight and also the summer brigades that will be out in force...

I'm doing well here too.
It's been tougher than usual because of price increases but its steady.

My campaign starts this Saturday.
Normally done door knocking but getting some triple folded A5 leaflets made up for the windows, pressure washing, upvc, connies and solar panels however not ready till next week but fortunately got some older leaflets from last year to get thru so out with them till the new ones arrive.
My aim is to deliver 2000 leaflets every week for the next 20 weeks so by August I will have dropped 40000 and if I retain 0.5% of good customers then happy days but will get the pressure washing and connies etc as well.
2000 a week will in theory on average get me about 10 to 15 first cleans a week so easily managed with some cleaned on a Saturday and others during week if it fits into current rounds.
Currently thinking of advertising for self employed canvasser to door knock areas the week after Ive dropped the leaflets. Pricing wont be a problem as done a "Pryors" and put price list on rear of leaflets.
This time next year Rodders :)

2000 leaflets a week to gain just 15 customers sounds a lot of hours on your feet going to the doors anyway when a good evenings canvass would do the trick alone and a lot faster surely??.
Good luck though customers are customers however long it takes or methods used to get them.

Picked up 3 new today may not have to canvass or leaflet if everyday like this !

It will be hard colin, but if you dont grab the leftover customers that are still out there then someone else will...Make yourself enjoy canvassing and good results will always follow in time.

do you pack all your sandwichs in the box so you can have a full picnic ;D ;D ;D

So many people leaflet and hardly any canvass in the areas i do which is why i dont have a need to leaflet, if a potential custy asks if the leaflet was from me i just say most probably. I have many local guys near me to thank for there hard work leafletting the streets as it sure helps when im banging the doors gaining new work.
