the extreme was over double the price of the 22ft SLX.

im very happy with the SLXs at 22-25ft.very light and useable.

the 2 poles(SLX22/SLX25)will get used the most on my round with the 40FT SUPERMAX for a few jobs here and there and solar panel cleaning on roofs.

You might have a hard job selling a pole to a  fellow windy that has a hydra pole as he should still have a fair amount of guarantee left on it.  ???

U can't give a clx away for free it,ll be hard Enof parting with a gardiners product as it is ! I still have mine in my shed and gz on the new pole looks like the 22footer will be your every day pole ! Mine is the 25 I find it perfect can do 2 story's etc with easy but I guess if I had both I would only take the 25footer out when I needed too as the 22 would be lighter !

I wonder if other windys would consider joining me in launching a fund to build a Gardiner's museum to display all the poles. What worries me is that with the new range coming out, what if current and past models aren't kept for posterity? I'm thinking perhaps something like the National Motorcycle Museum.

Early days in my thinking, but perhaps Lee Burbridge could use his publishing arm to spread the work. I'm pretty sure a few on here would run marathons and do bike rides through Belgium and what have you.

james whats wrong with your gardiner clamps? ??? ???

i have 3 gardiner poles and the clamps have been great!i did have 2 clamps come unstuck(one on my slx and one on my clx)but its an easy fix.these were minor problems and that was a few years ago.

best wishes

At the lower price, the SLX was a no brainer over the Phoenix pole. I am upgrading my CLX in the next few weeks and to be honest I was inclined to go for the Phoenix because of the problems with clamps on the CLX.
