So basically if I don't do yellow pages I could do-

Leaflets
Paid SEO
Local free ads papers
Shop windows
Thompson
Local radio (though it must cost a fortune)
Local business press (Swindon Business News)

Any offers on the above?

Does anyone have the winning combination?

Do all of them, thats the winning combination, no one single thing brings in the work.

never put your eggs all in one basket, it may work for a time but things change, so better to have a variety and monitor it.

As Steve says.  lots of sources all drip feeding jobs in.
