Got a whole first floor side of a building with no access from the outside,
I would like to attempt to clean the outside from the inside but not sure how best to tackle it.
There are plenty of openers but leaning out too far is not really advisable. so any ideas? ........

you wont be able to clean the outside form the inside unless you have big eneough windows to get out and some were to secure a harness.

Short pole and blade / mop , use a under clamp to detail ?
Or am I missing something .

Short pole, back pack ? Ive got one if you want to borrow....

some good ides but you wont get a good finish with a blad and mop and short extension and it will be very time consuming, with the reach and wash and back pack you may have to make a very short pole and will need to be constantly filling up.

you could try a window wizard

I was thinking of using my Dragonfly on a short pole but may take you up on the backpack offer Marcus, Thanks, It could speed the job up I think. :)

back pack and pole from inside? you would need arms like popeye and a torso like action man though!

I have tackled jobs like this before with a window wizard ( magnetic squegee). It can be done but time consuming and you need a lot of patience and perseverance . Personally I walk away from jobs like this these days, unless there is a very good reason or very good money involved, let it be someone elses problem ;)

Neil, I take it from the picture that the windows with the cross bar in open at the top and the middle whole pane section does'nt. Providing the top openers open wide enough to lean out it should be ok to lean out and mop n blade them ( the inside ledge looks sturdy enough to stand or kneel on). Or are there other problem windows that are not so easy to do ?
I've cleaned an apartment on the 25th floor this way in the past.

I've done jobs like this before with no problem, just lean out what you can, mop and blade. Maybe need a short ext pole.
