I need to install a sub meter at home as iam on a metered supply and need to prove my usage so I can have whats called a sewerage abatement discount. My filtration system is just connected by garden hose from outside tap but dont reallyy fancy plumbing it in inside the house.
Can anyone suggest how I go about this. Pictures would be helpful too.
Thanks in advance.

Get one that's waterproof and just connect straight to outside tap?
Something like this?

Just fitted one from ebay. connects with brass fittings 15mm to the tap and a short length of pipe and an angle joint make it a horizontaL meter.
Would be interested now to know how you claim for income tax purposes. cost of water plus 3/4 of sewerage on total literage maybe?

You pay for the water coming in.
Pure water that doesn't go down the drain you don't pay to dump cause you take it with you.
Sewerage is slightly more expensive but you get almost a quarter knocked off your 'work' water. Not included I'd your domestic usage (if applicable)
