Im finally considering to getting round to convert my tm's over to lpg. Is there a reputable place I can go to get this done? Also I have a small boxer 318, will lpg work ok on such a small engine tm?
Many thanks

I had my company car in my previous job converted to LPG by a company over in Stambridge, which is near you Luc, from memory they were the only local company next nearest was London, cant remember the name but could probably find it.
Also Doug had his converted i think Alltec over near Cambridge did that.

I had mine converted at alltec very good service.

Luc - is it air cooled?
I enquired about getting my 421 (air cooled) converted, and Hydramaster said they would do it - but they advise against it.

I've got my tm which is air cooled on gas and it works better than when it was on petrol, far cleaner.

Ive got the same machine as Shaun and it works better on gas than petrol and is half the cost.
I would say though to take it to some one who knows what they are talking about as the car people dont really know. I took mine to a guy about a year ago in wigan that was supposed to know about truckmounts and had done a good job for others but he was clueless on mine. After a chat with Dave Ingram i fitted mine my self and it works superb.

My boxer is air cooled. I was told by hydramaster that the engine gets too hot on lpg but been told by others that lpg will be fine. I think I will give alltech a call and find out if they can do it.
Thanks guys

The issue with Boxxers is not that they are air cooled but i gather its to do with the valves and seats in B and S engines, as you rightly say they run hotter on LPG and thats why B and S wouldnt honour engine warranties if you converted to LPG, Kohlers are better as their valve gear is stainless steel.

No chemtex panther 25 hp kohler engine

Paul
How do you find the chemtex tm. I have often thought about buying one as woodbridge are the nearest tm supplier to me?

Very easy to work on, they are hotter some say not as pretty as other tms but very simple and cleans exactly the same, no it's not a Titan but its lighter and smaller I would recommend it even just for the kohler engine as it is less hassle than the equivalent briggs which I have had trouble with on my previous tms.

Thanks for the reply sean. Ive had quite a few problems with my b & s engine as well. Does the panther 25 cope ok on small dual wand jobs?

you can run it off a normal cylinder to try and then fit a refillable vapour tank if you like it. If not take it off again
half the price of petrol

Luc I don't do dual wand but it does have dual ports so I'd guess yes it does.
