Hi, does anyone know if there are any alternatives to the brass 90 degree elbow hose fitting (the sort that Cleaning Spot sell)?.
Cheers

If you need plastic 90°elbows for 12-15mm pipe (1/2'') then B&Q sell them.

I was so sick of leaks from hose to reel when using hot that I eventually went to a pneumatics company and paid £45 for top spec fitting that screws onto reel but obviously has a centre section that spins, no more leaks

If you look at Dazmonds thread, the 'Gardiner connector' one, it shows you a pic of an alternative and I think there's a link there too.

Totalshinemk, any pics or info would be great.
I looked on the Gardiners site, it looks exactly the same as the brass ones I've had.

not sure how to do pics, from my fogwash I've connected a washing machine hose straight to this connector I bought, I screwed one end onto fogwash, cut the tap of the other end and used a really tight jubilee clip to fasten to new connector, the new connector is two parts stainless steel which spins in the middle and there is a nylon collar that screws onto the hose reel, I bought it from a company in Dunstable and will try upload photo once I learn how.

The one near me doesn't.
Last Sunday I nearly went into meltdown trying to solve a problem of needing a 90 degree elbow in either 1/2 inch or 15mm or 22mm to go from the screw fitting on a sureflo pump to a 22mm connector and round a 90 degree bend.
I ended up wasting £28 on a pile of connectors. Trying to work out how to connect such a simple thing together became more complex than solving a rubic cube.

Try Floline plumbers merchants on Princes Road (off ditchling road )
I get all my bits and pieces there now, much cheaper and you can buy one of something if thats all you need unlike B&Q. ;)

Cheers Simon.
