hi Guys we have just been asked to quote on 2000 sq metres of office carpet, what kind of rates are we looking at for commercial work as our main area is domestic

We don't do a lot of commercials, perhaps because £1/m sounds cheap to me, but it's not too cheap if you can encap. We've only done one so far, but blimey it was quick - and great result even in high traffic areas.

95% of my commercial work is encap, and at around 300sq yds an hour and more  £1 ,00 sq yd is an earner .

You could go as low as .33p sqm with the right tools

Hi, when you price 1 pound per sq meter ,is that price vat inclusive.

We always quote commercials as +VAT, 'cos they're getting the VAT back anyway.

300sqy per hour is fine for big empty rooms or corridors but smaller offices around desks more like 75sqy per hour.

Unless Im doing it wrong. :-[

What machine are you using mark,  ? 

 Desks do not interfere to that extent, infact  a clear run in a large open area i would say the rate per hour would go up.

Cimex with surround.  Find the cimex a pain around desks esp with its tank system so prefer a rotary.

Its working better now but not as smooth as yours.  My helper likes it and he can lift it by himself :o :o :o

So happy all round.

I might try and ditch the pump and holder to lighten it and allow it under desks.
