I've never used one before. What's a good one to use and where to hire from?
It would be used for the inside of a modern bus station which is tiled and not paving slabs or blocks so pressure washing looks to be out of the question due to drainage. The plan would be to low pressure steam removal of gum and use a scrubber dryer to clean the area.

Most ride ons are OK! I prefer the 3 wheelers because I find them quicker and more manouverable. The most important thing when hiring is to make sure the brushes are in very good condition, the rubber on the squeegee is not twisted or distorted and it has a decent set of batteries that hold their charge. If you are in a position (I mean from public point of safety) to be able to lay solution down without vaccing up immediately it is much better to let the floor have a decent dwell time with a diluted High Alkaline then scrub and vac.
