hello, as anybody used dynamall to encap on domestic wool carpets,i,m thinking of giving it a try but wondered if a rotary may be a tad aggressive and would i be better using my crb..cheers
-
Probably better with your CRB on piled carpets. Thorough vacuum, spray then agitate in with CRB. Job done.
-
Ive done a couple like this recently as John says one as it was awkward the way the job was situated to use my main machine and the other the lady just didnt want the carpet very wet.
Hoovered, sprayed dynamall, left to dwell for 10 minutes then used the crb and both came up a treat.

The only issue with dynamall is the smell, Surround smells much better, as does Procaps.

does surround do as good a job as dynamall.
-
is anyone seriously going to just scrub dynamall into a wool, domestic carpet then have the audacity to ask for payment ::)roll ::)roll
-
Mike there are thousands of cleaners all over the world doing that very thing. The biggest selling franchise in the US is one of them.

Yes, IMO it's just as good.

Mike
I do bonnet off if that helps ;D ;D ;D
-
personally I have found dynamall to be more effective than surround but it would be interesting to hear of others experience. Also had only positive comments on smell.

We did a job in a large office recently and used dynamall, Surround and Procaps in different areas with no discernible difference between the three of them, though I thought Procaps was slightly the better of the three. The best one of all was SPM with Oxibrite in fibre shampoo, nocticeably better than the other three, god knows why ???

Paul moss uses another encap but I can't remember the name of it.

thanks for your replys, food for thought. mike ,it states that dynamall is ph neutral and safe on most wool, was there any particular reason for your comment..thanks

Environ .... That's the one it's from amtech.

Rycal' I was wrong... if anyone wants to spray this on the carpet, scrub it in the tell the customer they have cleaned the carpet then fine.
-
ok mate, i thought you may have had problems with it, as i understand it the extraction part of the process is done in the post vac isn,t it?..
-
I love surround and releasit and i always get paid so must be doing something right.
these days i only seem to use hwe for stain spotting and upholstery.
customers like the carpets to be dry in an hour and they will pay for it.
must give that dynamall a try.
who sells it ?.

My response was not meant to have a dig at you , just the fact that people think this process of getting money from people ( I won't call it cleaning) is acceptable,
do they explain to domestic customers that they will not be removing any dirt... that is their job, they have to try and remove it with their home vacuum cleaner.
Don't get me wrong I'm a total believer is using this type of cleaning in commercial properties but lets get real do we really believe a domestic customer will have any chance of removing the dirt with subsequent vacuuming.
-
I recently tried it on a domestic off white carpet traffic lanes were moderately soiled didn't get the desired result with dynamall, so ran the t/m over it the difference was massive will only use it on commercials from now on
-
I would not consider encapping on domestic carpets either. At the moment I am only using encapping on maitenance programes where I encap 3 times a year with an anual deep extraction once a year.
On the heavily soiled carpet that we have started of encapping we have always ended up setting up the truckmount as we have not been satisfied with the results. I have been trying this for years and found it the best way. I will go over after with a bonnet and encap as it does improve the appearance and stop the stains from wicking back. Overall I have fouund this give the best result.
I have used the texatherm system a lot and have done some cleans that I have been reasonably happy with but you still will get areas that are not satisfied with so end up setting up the truckmount anyway.

And thats why for the comments above, not one system will cover everything all the time.
A truck is a must for best hwe jobs, and a porty and a bonnet system are also required when the job and price dictates. ;)
-
the carpet that i intend doing is only lightly soiled or i think i would have gone with hwe, i just thought that with it being down for 15 yrs there could have been problems maybe with the underlay etc so i,m just trying to minimse the risk..very helpful replys though..thanks

I used it in a travel agents in sunderland last year, the results were ok but were not fantastic, it had ac lovely fresh smell but its quite expensive! iv'e used similar products that are as good but more economical
