when your out canvassing and the door opens what is your opening spill ive only posted leaflets and now thinking going door to door.

if theyre looking weary i sometime try and have a laugh and say dont worry im not trying to sell you expensive windows or convert your religion
i own a local window cleaning company who have built various successful window cleaning rounds in the area and we are now looking to build up in your area
what sort of arrangement have you got in place at the minute
and can i interest you in providing a quotation to clean your windows,frames,cills and door panels

Stand back from the door after knocking. When the householder opens the door I smile and say 'Hello, nice to meet you. My name is John and the reason I am calling is that I am offering a window cleaning service locally. Would this be something you may be interested in?'
Keep it simple. Be presentable, polite, professional, but don't be pushy. There is no need to apologize for calling, but you can simply thank them for their time if they are not interested.

At this point hand them a leaflet.

never start with sorry to bother you it's a sign of weakness :)
Also just try and book in the first clean don't quiz em too much on frequency , you win some and lose some that's life , don't worry if some say cheers ill call u in spring cos for everyone who does that there is another that will use you
