Currently im using hoselock fittings for my DI - hose reel, but finding that these are leaking. Ive been advised to use the EZ range from Gardieners.
Could someone link me to the ones that I would need? Like I said, im DI only, so just need the fitting for DI - hose reel and that is it.
Cheers me dears

I'm, pretty sure that the EZ range is going to be to small for you. Its for pole hose really. You need stuff for half inch pipe if its for your reel/DI ?

you need one of these

and two of these

these look good from gardiners.im having the same problems.leaking DI when filling up and connections on reel from my half inch hose leaking.
im just wondering if that first link poshgravie would screw directly into my claber reel from gardiners?then the second link on my half inch hose from the pumpbox?they look nice and sturdy.it would be great to stop all the leaking!! ;D ;D ;D

I use jg fittings as well throughout from tank to pump to di. Then use a 1/2" barbed hose connector from di with 1/2" hose to hose reel with a £1 b&Q hose lock female connector (not leaking yet)
the weak point in everybodies system is basically the fact we have to use 1/2" hose to the hose reels swivel hoselock connection, it seems at this present point in time there is no alternative.
I have not used these new connectors gardiners are stocking but they are advertised as leak proof, should be they are pretty expensive !

I have no idea Dazmond, I think the swivel elbow that most reels use is fairly essential but then I don't know what a claber reel is, I'm sure Alex would know .

If using on the side of a reel I would recommend sticking with a swivel elbow as constant reeling in an out would wear the O ring on a fixed couplings (although it would screw on and fit):
These type of couplings are ideal for use on DI vessels. Remember to fit using plenty of PTFE tape on the threads.

I recently used these as temporary fitments on my mains water system in my house whilst having work done on the kitchen. I plumbed in the washing machine and a sink using the splitter and various couplings from the range. My mains pressure is in excess of 100psi and they performed as expected without a single drop leaking out whether on or off the pressure.

Challenge for Gardiners
Can you come up with a better swivel attachment for a regular hose reel attachment?
I find that any that are attached to the hozeloc swivel pop off after a while.

If you connect one of these it should stay connected very well:

brass stop ends and male ends from B&Q do not come off they lock in place, been using these on my di vessels for a long time.
They last a long time too :) and are easy to replace should you need to, most places have a b&q nearby
