Title: ladder clamps

only had them 2 years one of them wont tighten threads must have gone anyone know where to get a better pair.

Just bought some rhino safe clamps quick n easy to use quite impressed! Let's see if they last!

If you smear the threads with copper grease they will last much, much longer.

The last pair lasted 6 years and both bars rotted through. Securing bolts were fine.

i would love some of those, but cant justify £50!!! £35 absolute tops! look great though and so much quicker i bet, and great for all the virtically challenged  ;D

I paid £45 for the pair delivered. Time will tell if they were worth it! Lol

lashing straps are quicker to use  .    at night i use a python cable lock

I don't rate those Rhino ones. The ladder never seems to be secured properly. You turn the cam-handle over to secure it, all seems good and tight, get to the end of your journey, get out to take the ladders off and they're loose by the time you get wherever you're going.

I got a pair off ebay, stainless steel, leave them out in all weather had them a couple of years. Make sure you get M12 thread M10 lasted 2 mins

put some WD40 on em mate.you need to do this every couple of months to keep them running smoothly.

ive had mine for over 5 years and still going strong.i dont take em off very often though.only a few times a week.also dont overtighten.mine are the bog standard ladder clamps.cost me around £12 i think.

Had mine 6 months and can safely say that as never happened to mine, tbh I don't think they would pass safety tests if this was the case in general. Maybe it's your roof rack  ;D

biggest mistake possible overtighten em
got two prs ad em for 20yrs +
vasilene threads or copper grease end of
paid a fiver a pr bk in the day
i much prefer rope  ;D
