do i need a buisness bank acount by law , i dont work every day and im not out to earn a fortune , most jobs are cash , i get a few cheques , but at the moment i just bung it all in my santander curent acount ...do you have to pay a monthly fee for a buisness acountb , im trying to keep my bills as low as possible

I run a business so i have a business account  ;)

you dont need one by law, but if your bank work out that you are using it for business then they will say you have to close it or transfer to a business account.

dont pay in more than 4 or 5 cheques at a time and they wont get angry on using a personal account is my experience.

You can get free business banking with some banks.I'm with natwest free for 2 years.

If you are a member of the fsb you can get free business banking with the co-op plus all the other benefits that are available.

im with santander and its free at moment, cant remember how long for. i was using my personal account untill i got my business head on lol

Santander will be £7 50 a month for new customers,but you get 3% cashback on fuel which in effect makes it free for me ;)

i have a normal aconnt which i use for my businss for 20 years put loads of cheques in nothing said happy days

You do not need a business account as long as you can account for what cash went were. I would like to see all firemen`s  policemen posties business accounts etc.. Trade under your own name.
