Title: Dumped? How many have you dumped in last 6 months?
Post by: Klean07 on February 09, 2013, 06:57:23 pm
I always never used to dump any custies/timewasters etc but I have done in last 6 months and it feels great! Its the ones that say "Can you leave it this time" that gives me the most satisfaction when I dump them but all messers are the same!
Since August I've dumped approx 25 but gained 45 new ones so swings and roundabouts lol!

had the round sorted about a year ago and i have very good customers.
i find the ones i dump are the newer ones, you know the type second clean in and its "can you make it next month" and the answer is always the same "not a problem"....open george, scroll down,highlite,delete...move on.i never argue i dont mention for the second time that we clean on a monthly basis, thru winter, light rain, this is my livelyhood, etc etc
but i do find the best way to avoid all this is to tell them from the word go they pay by standing order,i dont take cash for the first clean i give them the bank details, tell them to set up the standing order as soon has its in i will clean, this in my opinion gets rid of the messers

I dumped about 75 customers in one go just before xmas, all on the same airbase. I had only clean them 3 times, and had taken them on with the understanding it was every 6 weeks, it didn't take long to reveal a large amount of "not this times", so dumped the lot as it was 45 miles away.
I had priced them all a few quid on the high side as I had a bad feeling from the start, but my step daughter lives on there and had been asked alot so I gave it a try.

Only 2 or 3 I think - but that's because I tend to keep it in trim as I go along.  In 21 years I bet I've dumped enough for at least the value of a decent round = or it would have been decent if they had played ball.
I can't be doing with it.  It has to be done my way because I'm the one whose livelihood depends on it.

Same as this. Just a couple this year. We dump as we go so never had the need for any major cull (yet).

I tend to be very tolerant towards customers whom I know in my heart that I should dump. When that tolerance level is finally breached I let them go.

Last week I had a customer who I had 'suspended' due to her constant failure to honour her promises that she would pay me. (she owes 60 euro and is tighter than a duck's nether regions) She called up the street to me asking me to call on her when I was finished doing the house I was on.

'OK', I called back. When I finished the house I was doing, I packed up and drove off. It felt great, 'cos I am the only windy who does her estate and I know that she has as much chance of getting anyone else as I have of getting my money from her.

same old story you loose a few and gain more. i always smile and drop when they want a extended clean period. its dishonest of them to do this so i get a whole lot of pleasure when they are deleted theres always more customers out there. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

thats a bummer, after all that effort finding them  ,75 jobs isnt chicken feed

this time of year is the worst time for cancellers

Quite a few.  But the quality of customer, right now counts a lot.   We are very busy and 'messers', for me, make areas hard work when you have custies that are happy to pay prompt and well...

As previously mentioned, you feel a whole lot better once they are history.
