Title: transfer hose? fittings?
Post by: windiewasher on February 08, 2013, 02:40:11 pm
Hi i have a alko ts 220 which has a 4 inch connection for house,is there anything that you can do to reduce the size of the hose?
i need approx 40 metres of hose and i had a look and found 10 metres for £145 plus vat and delivery.
Just wondering it theres a way of reducing this?at the moment i have a layflat hose on and fill barrels up that are next to the outside tank.
Take about 20 seconds each to fill.
Hope someone can help,cheers

On my pump i have a threaded fitting which i got from local aquatics shop which is a conical shape which allows different sizes of hose to be attached .

I got a 30 meter coil of black hose from same shop for  £48:00 outer diameter is about 2" .

If it is not just tape hose onto pump fitting then tape to your new coil of hose .

I have a wider 1 mtr  piece of hose attached to my pump then just insert the smaller diameter hose into the larger  and it works fine for me . Mike
