has anyone used solutions Nano protector and is it a good product compared to others on the market?

Colin is it the one with silver in it.
I tried it when it first came out and the customer called me the next day to say the cat has been rolling around on the carpet and now looks like a glitter ball. ;D

Protect Nano is a water base fluorochemical polymer which imparts excellent oil and water repellency to carpets and textiles.
Protect Nano requires no high temperature drying or specialist equipment. Protect Nano is a new nano particulate fibre and fabric protection treatment, which can be used to protect Both carpet and upholstery from both dry and oil/water based soiling, the treatment when applied forms an invisible protective, UV stable, breathable barrier to the fibres.
It does not change the look or feel of the fibre, the repellent finish is effective against water, coffee, tea, red wine, most liquid spillages will pearl off the treated fibre. It can be applied with equal success to new carpet or freshly cleaned carpets that is damp or dry.
Protect Nano does not adversely effect other topical treatments such a flame retardants, or anti static coatings.Spillages should not be left untreated and should be removed by applying a dry absorbent cloth to the surface allowing the liquid to drawn from the surface, do not rub, simply blot lightly to remove.
Instructions for use:
Protect Nano should be applied using a 500050 T-Jet fan type nozzle to a clean surface by spraying using a pressure spray.
For Plush Fabrics and Carpets: Dilute with equal parts of water and apply at a rate of up to 20-40 sq.m/litre.
For Curtains, Cotton Furnishing Fabrics etc: Dilute with equal parts water and apply at a rate of up to 80 sq.m/litre.

iv used craftex fabric protector for years and get very gud feed back ,,,used on farbic and carpets,,

Colin im only winding you up, it sounds like the solutions one which is a good protector. I prefer either 3m or Chemspec protector.

I like solutions protector it doesn't gum up the sprayer like 3m does works just as we'll although appearance wise it looks too thin as though there's not much product there, a prominent trainer in the industry tested quite a few protectors ans said it came out one of the best and he wasn't associated to solutions.

It is the solutions stuff, i have used it, its not bad stuff, but i prefer the chemspec stuff! Mind you i was surprised to read in the latest prochem magazine a letter from Ken Wainwright, who i thought used all solutions products, he was raving about the prochem protector, saying it was fantastic stuff!!
Never tried the prochem stuff myself

The story Ken tells is over a number of years he probaley wrote the letter some time ago but they have now decided to use it.
The protector we use is the solution one but what I have noticed it seem to leave a deposit in the sprayer and also the container it came in the best way I can describe it like a mould and it has a strange smell at this point.
Just my obversations.

I'm sure Ken wrote that in 2011 and said it had ben applied 5 years or so prior to that!!
Personally I use Prochem Fluoroseal and find it a fantastic product :)

Is this RTU ? dont see any info about diluting it?
Prochem suggest applying with a 8003 nozzle which is pretty big... your gonna go through alot of it!
Also they suggest brushing it into the carpet with a clean carpet brush.
The solutions Protect nano is a product which is diluted 1:1 and applied with a very fine nozzle 500050
Also this product does not require the operator to spray an acid solution to the carpet.
I have never used it... is it any good?

Good question Ian, my understanding of re cleaning carpet which have been treated with any form of protector is to try and use a gently approach rather than high PH solution and heavy agitation.

I ve been using protect nano for years applying it for retailers I deal with, good product. You only put down relatively small amount compared to others which helps with drying times in cold warehouses. Price wise very economical.
