Newer vivaros bullet proof
My 07 2.0 cdti is superb

My 03 trafic nearly bankrupted me
It was the 1.9dci

The newer vivaros have cam chains not
Belts , which when the belt snaps
Is a very costly distressing time!!
Gearbox issues were resolved 06
IMHO excellent vans
Take a look at the toyota Hiace 2.5 turbo
Diesel transporter looks but cheaper
Bulletproof engines too

Hi Mate

I run Toyota Hiace, as Gav says Bullet Proof.

Get 2007 onwards with the Lexus facelift they are decent looking van & will work all day every day.

i looked into having a 2003 iveco reviews are mixed. i drove one and loved it tho . best have a look at roadtestreports.com and get reviews on all vans. i ended up with toyota hiace and best thing i`ve ever had. its the only make i`d go with. when i finish work i drive a toyota landcrusier.
Toyota`s are awsome

I've had my Toyota Hiace for 4 years now, it's never let me down!

They're the most reliable van you can get.

Primastar vivaro and trafic
Are the same van
They don't rust like the transits
Mine 03 was mint bodywise
It was the engine that was crap
Rebuilt twice !!
My 07 vivaro is superb
Engine wise 1.9
2.0
2.5
Mine is the 2.0 cdti 6 speed
Swb it's superb

I have a 2006 despatch, been fantastitc but iv,e herd some bad things about the new shape despatches, especialy the 1.6 .
But they look realy nice. I'm not sure what to get, but the toyota hiace has fantastic reviews. What are they like on the juice with that 2.5 engine.

Hi Eco nice 1  its what made me interestedthanks for that, sounds really good.

Kurt. My Hiaces give me an average of low 30,s but thats fully loaded running round good on long journeys. Vivaro / Traffic more economical into 40,s but i still went for & would go for Toyota. They just never let you down.

My 03 other than an a repair on the sliding door that was caused by an employee just has regular maintance. i.e. 1 service a year with the mot.

Wrekin. Def fit 650 I have aTucker 700 & Brodex 650 in mine + we carry pressure washers & extra water butts when required.

I got my 2007 120 less than 12 months old & a few k on the clock from Toyota main dealer it was there demo van for £9200 + vat & Toyota financed which was low o/o . I think that was an excellent price.

Also have a look at the new Hyundai iload they r doing good deals, but, not as an employee van only owner driver they are not as heavy duty as Toyota.

the toyota is basic but less to go wrong, dont be drawn in by looks.  you can have the best looking girlfriend in the world but she might be a right bitch , go for average look but will look after you.(like a toyota does)

I know what you mean wrekin, my favourite van is vw transporter. But, i would always choose a Toyota for work. Like  i say check out the newer versions 56/07 onwards. They have the Lexus front.

I wish Gary. Have two, a Traffic and a Vivaro 54 & 12 plate and both only give 30 - 34 max overall. when brimmed and monitored, computer says 40ish, but when nearly empty struggling to turn over 34, and that is with very conservative driving.

Hi Steve

Thanks for that, ive allways thought the Vivaro was 40+, that makes my 30+ fully loaded really good. When i brought the 07 I nearly had 2 new Vivaros, but stuck with my 03 & got great deal from Toyota Stafford on the ex demo.
