just wondering if anyone knows anyone who runs any domestic window cleaning businesses that do over £1,000,000 a year
what sort of size operation do they run?? how many vans??

On paper it could be quite easily done with a big enough canvassing team(10+ going out for you each night you could build it in a matter of years) its only 10 vans hitting 8k a month each.
Managing it would be another story though. I cant imagine the headaches that would be involved with a business that big full of domestics.

With that size of set up Richy you'd need the whole infrastructure that goes with it, managers, trainers, first aiders, H&S and the like.
Like others have said, it could be one massive headache, but if you put in place the right management structure the rewards could be more than worth the while...

There's a company over Milton Keynes that have signed 2 big contacts both was well over 100,000.

i remember seeing an ad for a london biz for sale a couple of years ago. cant recall the exact size but it was a lotta money and it said you must realize the office phone is ringing constantly , that sounds a nitemare!

I know of at least 7 commercial window cleaning companies that turn over more than a million per year.
They all operate in the London area.

There are loads.
Isis in newcastle, Antac, Clearview in london, and so on. Its a bigger industry than most people realise imo.
A couple of years ago, the MyHome plc group started window cleaning (domestic houses, not commercial) with a fleet of very smart looking vans, I was a little worried about the prospects for us little guys.
Soon after, they de-listed from the stock exchange and must have sold their window cleaning section (or just shut it down) and I've heard nothing about them and window cleaning since.
Can't say I'm not highly relieved.

I doubt theres any £1,000,000 domestic window cleaning companies in the UK.

My lads average 750-900 per week each for about 48 weeks a year, long way from the magic million!!
