Title: Transfer pumps?
Post by: Jonny D on February 02, 2013, 11:51:29 am
What it the longest distance that a transfer pump works to? I have just moved house to a middle terrace but there is a car park to the side and I was wondering how far the pump would work to?

i got this one

http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Power+Tools/Water+Pumps/Submerged+Clear+Water+Pump+400W/d40/sd3220/p89645

had it for a year now, it pumps my water 1.5m in the air then it pumps it about 60m's to my van using a 25mm hose.
works for me

We've got one of those as well.  The bigger diameter hose, the better it will perform with the least strain.
