Hi
Just going to replace resin today.
TDS is 85 to 90 out of the tap. I use two DI vessels but no RO.
The resin costs £80 inc. vat and I use half a bag £40 about every 3 months.
Works out about £3.50 per week.
I've never had a RO setup but for those who have experience of costs. storage, transfer etc..
Would you consider it worth the cost and hassle to go RO?
BTW I am on a water meter too.
Thanks
G.

Stick to the resin if your on a metre mate
-
i would use a RO, a bag of resin would last you years
-
i have an RO, and on a water meter,
water only costs about £3 per 1000lts you use.
with mine to make 1000lts of pure it uses 3000lts in total. costing around £9 on a metre.
resin wise, i still have a half a bag of resin left that i brought a year ago.
i change my resin when the water hits 001ppm-002ppm
my water starts at 450ppm and comes out at 12ppm before resin.
so with your water through a RO you might not even need resin!!!

stick to resin only £160 a year will workout cheaper than the exta water you would use due to the fact your on a meter.

Hi RC
So the way I understand that is - if you use 3000 litres to get 1000 litres the cost is really £9 and not £3 per 1000 litres of 12ppm water ?

its costs about £3 per 1000lts from anglian water. (from the tap)
my RO uses 3000lts to make 1000lts so it costs me £9 for 1000lt pure.
Some Ro's produces less waste water, like 40/40's
i only got a 200gpd one.
