What insurance companies are you chaps finding the best deals on?
got a renewal quote from A Plan...are there any cheaper companies out there?
-
Gladiator was cheapest for my berlingo van
-
A Plan has been provided me with a good price never bothered looking anywhere else last year . Mike
-
A-Plan for 5 years here. And I always look for a better requote each year.
-
Ta..will try Gladiator for a quote
A Plan have always been good for us but i like to get another couple of quotes just to confirm there quotes are competitive

I've been hit twice in twelve months. Biggest problem is not being able to work when the van's off the road. Mine's in the bodyshop now and will take a week just for a front bumper.
-
Alexander swan have always been the cheapest for me, A plan are always more expensive for me for some reason, last year a plan wanted £100 more than Alexander swan.

Dave I know this doesnt help now, and I dont know if you use A plan, but they have an add on should you have an accident they send you out a van with wfp so you can still work about £65 a year

They were sky high when I asked a couple of years back hence I didn't go with them.

Sorry not being rude but don't think throwing some ones name will help the premium will be using other factors

I agree to a point Ronnie , but as you probably know it can be difficult at times to find a company who is willing to insure a van or truck with a wfp set up .

you would be surprised Ronnie, it's worked for me and others loads of times

Do you not have "legal protection" young Davith? Mines approx £28 per year & it gives you a legal team who will recover uninsured losses i.e. time off work etc. ;)
-
They only way would be for them to reduce their broker fee but you can do that by negotiating with them, I may try it though when renewable is up in June
-
Win pro that brings up a story, I always get legal little cost for something Si important!
Last year someone hit one of vans, nothing serious but was off road for a week so iv climbed for losses! They come back with £200 haha iv shown company accounts with turnover and we worked out how much the van cost the company being off the road which is much more!
So the battle goes on but my point is do they really think 200 is a serious offer with a vehicle being off the road earning no money, properly what they think a window cleaner earns in a week haha

without question I have this, learnt when I had that crash years ago, I didnt realise they had added this on (thank god they did, saved me just over 10k legal bill)

I would imagine 9 times out of 10 would be a battle to get anything out of an insurance company! However, I still think the relatively small cost of Legal Cover is still a must this day & age especially.
