ive had my 18ft carbonfiber pole a week not a bad pole for money only issuse i have i suposse is no end stops and the base section is too thin i aint got the biggest hands in the world but i struggled trying to get a grip it needs beefing up.if iwas gonna be picky the rubber end cap kepps coming of so i taped it on. over all 8 out of ten.
-
Good to hear Dave but you cant complain about no positive end stops when it has been talked about on here quite a bit .
And the fact that it is a bit skinny if it was beefed up it would be far heavier. ;D ;D ;D. Mike
-
just an honnest observation. end stops may be, but imo end section to skinny my pal who as got hands like hulk had a shot could not get on with it as i say good pole ,but why no end stops???? anyway they must be a load of wimps if they cant put up with a couple extra grms .lol
-
Loads better without end stops easy to totally dismantle and clean and if you had say a 35 ft pole it allows you to add or remove sections as and when needed without having to use a heavier pole on daily basis if their is not the need to.
I am about the size of a hobbit so would manage fine ;D ;D. Mike

Ive had mine 4 months now and i love it, except ive had to glue the rubber end cap on 3 times now. Maybe i need stronger glue. :-\

Use gaffer tape underneath the end stop to make the pole a bit thicker.
I prefer a thinner pole to be honest - when using my 4 section (but longer closed length) SLX 20 (de-sectioned SLX30) it is one section thinner than my (shorter closed length) SLX 22.

ive got the 22ft pro carbon composite.Great pole for the money.no endstops not an issue, was aware of this before i purchased the pole. i would rate this pole 9-10 find the rubber stopend really anoying the way it keeps coming off.
-
i was one of the first to own a 22ft , and i would say 9/10 , the clamps are what set it apart from the competion , ;D ;D

I'll try that, cheers. ;)

You can't have end stops otherwise you won't be able to over extend the pole and pretend it's longer than it's supposed to be ;)

Is it better than Gardiners xtreme pole?
-
i,ve got the phoenix 26ul and the gardiners extreme 25 and i would say the phoenix is a more user friendly pole ie better clamps , shorter collapsed length however the phoenix is much heavier so itend to use only in confined spaces , if facelift can bring out a much lighter version i would buy straight away , although its probably unfair to compare the two poles as the extreme is a lot more expensive regards alan

I do not think you can compare it to the extreme because it is priced to compete with the slx.
A lot of people who are happy with the slx do not want the extra considerable expense of buying an extreme.

Prestige why are the clamps better what sets them apart from the clamps on the gardiners poles. Mike

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Phoenix. :) Our number one goal was for the poles to be the most user friendly and easiest poles to use bar none. Feedback we are getting is we've achieved exactly that.
As for a lighter version.... We have one in the pipeline which will be the lightest fully telescopic water fed pole out there. We are testing at the moment but will have some news later on in the year.
