ready to renew my public liabilaty , i pay 291.50 a year now , but i am insured for 6000 pound of tools so they said if i lose that part of cover it will go down to 174.90 , i will still have a million public liabilaty , and be insured for propertys worked upon etc , so i think i will go for that , if a pole or hose get pinched from my van im not goin to claim anyway what d you reckon gang .. and to add my brother in law to policy will then double it to 349.80 , so i will only be paying a extra 60 quid and have 2 of us covered , but no tools , but as you know im based in liverpool so my tools should be safe enough ;D ;D

You can be over insured, most important is liability, and property worked on imho.

For ~£15 a month I don't know why you wouldn't have your tools insured.

i have the same insurance imo money well spent
-
what if any are the excess charges in the event of a claim

ifor the tools bob i had to pay the first 150 pound , [ price of a pole ] just thinking now though if van gets pinched , im insured but my brodex system etc isnt so maybe i might have to reconsider , but with the extra man on it takes it up to 500 pound ish which is a lot just for my liabilaty insurance :o

Would it not be cheaper to have your tools insured on your motor insurance?
