hi owen,
i dont really use prochem products myself so couldnt advise you on that but anyway i would think once you have extracted it most of the smelly water would be out i would extract first and then use alltecs odour clear myself.
i would also make sure i had some rust remover with me as it is usually rusty water that leaks from rads

The rust remover from prochem works a real treat, i use it all the time and esp on radiator leaks which i seem to come across all the time, and normally only need to use a small amount.

Are you sure the structure is dry? Sometimes the water permeates through the carpet and underlay, hits dust and other biological items and promotes bacteria and mould growth. You can't see it from the surface but the odour is present. In this instance, cleaning the carpet without removing the biological load or fully drying the area, may actually make matters worse.
I suggest you either lift the carpet and underlay and inspect underneath, or use a penatrative moisture meter to check.
Hope this helps,if not give me a call.
Regards,
Chris

In other words there is more to this than just suck and apply something that smells good.
