Title: Changing van led display
Post by: DaveG on January 31, 2013, 05:12:45 pm
On the dreaded Renault Trafic  :o.. my led (mileage)  display has gone and I'm probably going to buy a secondhand compete unit from Ebay.

Its probably a stupid question but, when I put the exchange unit in, will it show new speedo mileage or will it have my vans mileage stored on ecu???

Really? The led has some parts missing, could that be a bulb?

with the door open on a bright sunny day,if you can read the display it means the bulbs gone

when i was a car mechanic a few yrs back now quite often saw duff led dash displays ,it was usually the backlight display bulb that had blown.you need to get sunlight on the dash to see if you can read it first to prove it is just the bulb

the bulbs are often tricky to get to but not an expensive bulb

Mine went on my Pug expert - it was just the bulb - mechanic shone a torch on it to show mileage when he did the m.o.t this month
