Title: reels with hotwater
Post by: ALAN HAYNES on January 24, 2013, 09:15:37 am
i have had nothing but problems with my reel with hotwater
and brass elbows dont last long before they start to drip
have now got a cox reel fully made of metal and all fitting
are solid from heater to reel no more leeks not even a drip
only problem reel to wide for me so cut mine down by 180mm

We use those swivels too.

Your best bet is to take it to bits, get the o ring and replace it with something better, probably a viton o ring. http://www.polymax.co.uk/o-rings/rubber-viton-oring/

The swivel is the brass bit. It is like a brass block with a bolt through it. The bit that.. well... swivels.

If you take it apart you will see it has 2 rubber o rings. These are not designed for honumptyer. Viton ones are.
