Hi Simon
the first one you list would be ok for drain jetting it has a good flow but in my opinion no good for pressure washing,i forgot to look at price, the second would be good for pressure washing but i feel 21ltr a minute would not tackle a lot of drain cleaning tasks and at the price listed is a bit on the steep side, as for the karcher hds1000de these are a good hot water machine but the flow rate lets them down personally i feel you need at least 18ltr a minute and preferably 21ltr the karcher is only 15 ltr.
i priced that store for gum removal in liverpool but have heard nothing back i will let you know if anything comes of it

I've got a gum quote to do when the bloody snow melts
-
Thanks trevor, only using for pressure washing. I thought it was a bit expensive thats why its still there! Prob stick to original plan buying a new 21ltr machine.
Never any bargins when you want one but whats a couple of grand off the balance sheet!

I priced a nice gum job the other day in Blackpool, a multi storey car park. I'd need to get a smaller van though to pull the trailer up. Water on site too, hope we get it.

I have a Robojet 30LPM petrol engine that I do not use. I bought it with next to no use and it has had probably two days work with me.
It is a nice compact unit, clean, in very good condition, two hose reels but no drain jetting hose.
This is not expensive (the drain jetting hose) and it sits nicely within your budget.
It will split to a two man operator very easily and has been in my unit for about six years. Good kohler engine and no known faults.
It has the 400 litre tank but I could throw in a 1000 litre IBC and set it up for you.
I want £1200.00 for it
Rob ;D
-
As a comparison this will probably cost about £12.00 to £15.00 per day to run.
On top of pressure washing at 30LPM it will also give you the opportunity to get into drain jetting on domestic drains and some less compacted commercial.

Sounds good, when are you free for a chat got a few questions.
Simon

Give me a ring in the morning.
Happy to help you out with any questions - this kit has seen no work - that is genuine!!!

4, Rob. Just to spot gum, they don't want a full clean.

4 Rob, like I already wrote haha

Sorry I thought that meant for Rob - rather than talking to someone else!!!!!! Doh !!!!!
We cleaned all areas of a mezzanine level car park last year in Darlington, the difference on another two floor swould be another 20 metre hose. All done from specific areas on the ground.

Rob is it the one in pic on your website?
Simon
-
No
That is the H & M - that would cost a lot more than 1200.00
Google Robojet
Rob ;D

Sorry yes
On the drain jetting page!!
Another Doh!!!

They are running from the Thor - I don't think it was on full bore at Market Harborough.
Rob ;D
-
Max 45 that was about 40LPM. 20 per man

Apologies if that was you that rang me yesterday morning, I was clearing the drive and then went straight onto some personal stuff, by the time I realised I had missed calls it was late last night.

Where've you been hiding?

The bar is 200 but the flow is enormous
Rob ;D
-
Going to rephrase that last statement.
The flow is adequate for current usage - looking at larger machines at the moment!

been too busy mate with work and women

how much was thor ( 2 man diesel)?
-
how much was thor ( 2 man diesel)?
They're over £7k new mate. 41lpm pump with splitter manifold to run 2 lances.
-
u think they are worth it? or just run 2 machines at 15 litres a minute 13hp?
-
I believe so. Not used one myself though.
-
Two machines @ 15 LPM will only give you 30LPM. The Thor is a lot more than that.
They are a solid machine, well built, they will clean anything on cold water but there is more out there if you are prepared to buy decent second hand and do some dabbling!!!

Rob i am not doubting the cleaning ability of this machine with such a flow rate and pressure but to claim it will clean anything is a bit too much, there are times when hot or a chemical is needed and in some food industries the chemicals you can use are limited so you need hot, for the sort of work you are carrying out i am sure it is the dogs danglies but for other applications you may not cover then hot and low flowrate is the only way to go
-
On my work it has cleaned everything it has needed to clean from a cold water machine perspective. Sorry I wasn't more careful with terminology.
Just to be clear any past & future comments will be from my opinion on works that I carry out.

Saw this on e bay - anyone know what the pump is ;)

Harben maybe?
-
American machine - German engine with a British pump which will pump dirty water and run dry ;D
-
Harben are based in Scotland I think, there is a company down here (London) that use them, can't think of their name, but they do jetting as well.
-
Factory is in Salisbury - I've been there
