Title: Gaz Hh20 Brushes.
Post by: preston powerblast on February 12, 2006, 05:06:18 pm
Having bought two  brushes I thought it was time that I put in the jets and gave them a whirl.
I did just that this week, in brush no1 I put in fan jets, in the scond brush I put in pencil jets.
What a cracking brush it is.
I  have only ever used vikan brushes, but I  dont think I will ever be using another.
Especially when you weigh up the pro's and cons.
the brush is much lighter to use and the bristles just seem to glide over the glass, also the bristles dont seem to hinder the water spray from the jets.
Cheers Gaz and thanks for all your help.

Cheers Gary,i`ve been reccomending these brushes for a while now and all seem to like them,
i have been supplying them with pencil jets but have been testing fan jets last week i like the fan jets because of how it fills the galss while brushing but i also like  the pencil jets on certain jobs,
the brushes i supplied you did i remove any of the bristles?
because the ones i do already jetted i remove a row of bristles for a better flow of water,
and have you seen the other brushes i posted on here yesterday?,Gaz  ;)

You removed the bristles for me, so all I had to do was drill a couple of holes.
I think I'll just use vikan brushes for cleaning the car.

One of the best things about thes brushes is no complaints about spotting.
As I have noticed with the vikan brushes they seem to hold dust in the bristles and you generally have to rinse them in a bucket a couple of times during the day.
I have about ten three storey houses that have railings over the bottom half of the patio doors on the first floor.
I think this swivel brush may just be the job.
Well done Gaz.

Hi Gaz
I have been watching these post and i think i will wait for a few weeks to see what the best brush is before i order one or is one brush better for one job and the other for another type of work?
I have saved your email which i did find the address in the end :P
Thanks for that  ::)

Gaz, have you got any brass jets? My pole fell yesterday and the jets snapped off.
I would rather pay extra for stonger ones. Dai

Gaz.

Tested your brush out on my house, on my bathroom window
this is over a really akward extension it,s double pitched you know the type this symbol virtical < and only a 3ft back yard to work from so had to use the ladders to get at it.

Anyway this window has not been cleaned since last summer so it was filthy, but your brush brought it up a treat, it,s much easer to work with than the viken, cheers for putting us on to them. ;)

Cheers Jeff.

Gaz

I will be getting a pole system of some sort - hopefully some time soon.

You seem to be the man who knows his stuff about brushes.

Apart from the one you've posted the picture of, can you get smaller, brushes or perhaps round ones for small or difficult shaped windows.  They are high up, small and a peculiar shape.  Can you wfp these? I've popped a picture so that you can see what I mean.

If you cannot swivel the brush head, you could probably stand to one side and clean the top with the brush at an angle of say 45 degrees also using just the tip of the brush. If you have an Unger elbow turn it to 90 degrees its also poss to twist  the brush thro 90 degrees and use it vertically. If the alu has also got an extra pair of holes drilled at 90 degrees to the original.

Gaz.

Have you tested the fan jets on your brushes yet, if you have can you let us know how they perform different from the normal jets you fit.

Cheers jeff.

I`m still sorting out different size brushes, not ready yet  :-\
and the brushes i already supply are now available with either green, red or yellow bristles,so if you like to colour match then you`ve got a choice  :D
Fan jets,i have and can fit them but to be honest pencil are better and easier to fit and i would say the 3 jetted brush with the flow control tap is best,Gaz  ;)

Hi Steve, nice to hear you like the brush,
the tap on the 3 jetted brush is just a on/off tap on the middle jet
you can actually have the tap turned on slightly so you get a tiny flow from the middle jet or fully on,i also do Red,Yellow or Green bristled brushes now,i`ll email you,Gaz  ;)

gaz, you dont need the nozzle holders.I just drill the 2 sizes for the nozzle, the smaller size for the stem and the reses for the head of the nozzle. the tubes keep them in place its a lot easier and less chances of breaking.jouk45

I fit 2mm jets and they don`t stick out into the bristles so no chance of scratching,

Gaz the brushes that I would like to order are:

1 x 11" Swivel (with new removable swivel adapter)
1x  11" non swivel
1x  16" non swivel

Just a question...do these come with pencil or fan jets...I would prefer pencil 2mm.

Cheers
