Title: FAO Richard Clues
Post by: niceandclean on January 23, 2013, 04:24:30 pm
Hi Richard, took your advice and ordered the L5 from Wayfair, so thanks for that.
I have had a look at how you set it up on your You Tube video, looks very smart. Just wondered if you have done a list of parts that you need , i know somebody did on here, so not sure if it was you? Also where did you purchase the brackets and the bits for the flue, as i would like to do exactly the same.

 :)

i used 2 of these to make the bracket for the van
http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Construction+Materials/Builders+Metalwork/Heavy+Duty+Strap+Bend+1200mm+Total+length/d210/sd2797/p76295

and 2 of these to go accross from each bracket cut down in size to fit width of heater http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Construction+Materials/Builders+Metalwork/Light+Duty+Strap+Bend+600mm+Total+length/d210/sd2797/p77295

bolted together.

then used these to fix the frame to van
http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Screws+Fixings/Cavity+Fixings/Spring+Toggle+5+x+75+mm/d90/sd1930/p34218

for the water in and out i used
http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Plumbing/Flexible+Connectors/Flexible+Tap+Connector+15mm+x+12+13mm+Bore+900mm/d20/sd2807/p21163

then it depend what you pipes you have from the tank and the hose reel,

for the flue i used 2 sheets of these:

i bent it to shape and bolted it together, then painted it with a heat proof paint.

Thanks for taking the time to post that Richard, kind of you.

I have a local Tool Station and B&Q Warehouse, so will pop along tomorrow and see if I can get the parts!

From tank to pump to hose reel, is standard Hose, then Microbore on hose.
