Just back from my skiing holiday - loads of snow, no problems with transport all the way from 3600m at Les Deux Alps to Grenoble airport (and MANC to home) yesterday.
Monday morning, I can't get off my drive. I've had to cancelled work for today!

I've had the other way round, customers calling to cancel, it dose not look that bad David!
-
...l, it does not look that bad David!
I'd just spent 30 minutes clearing the drive/path only an hour before this photo, AND the snowplough had past through a few minutes before. Oh, and the job was up a steep hill to a dead-end.
But the real clincher was that my chickens decided not to come out their coop today :)
-
Same in North yorks decided to have steady day first job on a big hill so moved second one both understood not worth loading up to not make it. supposed to be doing admin but having a lazy day really.
Dont mind the odd snow day.

Yes cancelled 2 today and re booked.
They were both understanding....and relieved.

Hi Guys
I too rearranged my two jobs for the day, found a council salt bin and did my whole road, so ready to rock tomorrow.
Not worth risking getting the TM stuck or worse van damaged.
Cheers
Doug

Cancelled everything today but will now be all hands to the pump for the rest of the week to catch up been sledging with the kids I've had so much fun then they wanted to go in because it was getting cold and they needed hot chocolate and play on lap tops and I was just getting warmed up for the Cresta run.

I'm in the area of South Wales that was put on red alert over the weekend. I managed to dig the van out earlier, reversed it up the path, then couldn't drive off cos the gear linkage was frozen and I couldn't get into 1st or 2nd!
Finally managed to get going, just dropping off and collecting some rugs.

cancelled friday jobs, cancelled saturday jobs so i had to brave it today, roads were bad this morning but wet snow has cleared most roads round here, no really bad hills so got away with it, trucky is getting new seals and gaskets all the way through tomorrow so fingers crossed i can get it to the lawnmower repair place. needs doing badly.

We have had thick snow since last Monday only did 2 full days last week, this week we had 2 days pressurewashing which has been rebooked.
We've got tomorrow & Thursday booked up with carpet cleaning so will have to dig out the van.
Only had 2 jobs booked in since the snow fell, it just kills the calls dead
-
still flippen snowing in Edinburgh, mind you no work booked in any way , of to thialand, next fri for two weeks golfing in hua hin , bring it on ,
-
Been snowing here since around 4am, got some guys out working in Gateshead and Whitley Bay but had to cancel a job in Rothbury as the road across the moors is all blocked off, just heard a service bus has crashed into a wagon on a bridge in Alnwick.
Drive carefully if you're on the roads today.
Been out doing my good deeds clearing mine and the neighbours (shes 80+) driveways of snow.

He's got a Airflex mini by he looks of it. Nice looking website!
Airflex Mini Pro version - correct (at the moment), amongst other machines and tools of course.
Tnx for the positive words about the branding everyone. It's made a splash around Macclesfield :)
-
look on the brightside. January would have been quite anyhow, its just after Xmas, end of the month so people are still skint, at least we are getting the snow when they wouldn't have called anyhow.
it will be gone in a week just as people get paid
-
You got snow in Beverly Mike??
My Sister in Law is in Hornsea and she sent
me a photo yesterday and the streets were
clear....12 miles away.
She said it rained Sunday night and cleared
it all.
She even drove to Brid yesterday.
-
They are on the coast when ever I see the forecast it always shows an outline of the coast.... always warmer than a few miles inland, we've got 8 inches
-
Just ignore Mike on tis 8 inch thing, hes always bragging ;D
-
This snow is killing me. Because of the weather reports, my missus has just realised that what I've been telling her is 8 inches is in reality only 3 inches :(

My day on the 20th (lotsa snow) in Chester
1st job at 8.30am came out of custy's appartment at 10.15 my van had been side swiped right bdown the side including damaged side sliding door :'(
next job on narrow road in Clutton going slowly down road a black BMW comming up the road tries to pass puts his foot down and skids sideways and you guessed it whacks into my van damaging the right side wheel arch and reflector/lights :'(
1st job no use claiming as will effect no claims bonus and don't know who the B@#h was who did it.
2nd job got details from beamer feller and pursing claim
Moral oof the story: will stay in when snowing and re-schedule :P
