Repeat domestic with at least a days work - 10/15 miles

Commercial/School priced right up to 25 but if the right job landed in my lap, say 50.

well i've got 2 holiday homes 20 miles away, if they were local the price would be around £20 & £8 but i get £50 for the pair only now & again though, when i got them i did a bit of canvassing & the lad who does them comes up from blackpool !!!!! which is at least a good 70 mile away, he's a bit more expensive than me i imagine , no one who lives up ther is skint though

about 300 miles

With that sort of distance you'd have to factor in overnight accommodation and subsistence costs for your workers.  It must be well paid.

I clean a holiday home annually, along with 5 chalets nearby. They are 55 miles away, and well worth the trip. Last year I took my time, (first cleans) stayed overnight and was fed and watered every mealtime without charge.

I sometimes go from telford to Welshpool, Welshpool to Stafford, Stafford back to telford in a day. It's worth the travel, ESP in the rain or snow.
Done jobs at derby and Llandudno too.

most of my work is within an 8 mile radius(mostly 6 miles very compact) but i would travel up to 10 miles away from my home but thats it.

im just not interested in travelling too far away with fuel costs, wear and tear on van and time it takes.

my weekly fuel bill is about £15 a week.

This is something I have been giving some thought to. Mind you my aim is to exclusivley do domestics. My thinking is the less travelling you have to do = more time on glass = less vehicle / fuel cost = higher profitability.
or is my thinking flawed?

Hi Jim
No your thinking is not flawed,im just struggling to get customers local at the moment, most just say we allready have a window cleaner or we do them ourselves,so just curious as to what other people would do in same situation :-\
