Clean It Up

As a traditional window cleaner and with this snow on the ground it looks as if i either spend the following week painting the house (started on the kitchen yesterday and hate it already) or get off my backside and earn a bit of money.
For anybody who is interested I am making myself available for canvassing whilst I cannot get out and work myself.
I have had three periods of window cleaning spanning over 25 years, built up these rounds from scratch and also spent a few years both in direct sales and canvassing, from double glazing to cable tv.
I'd be confident of getting some regular domestic work for someone by canvassing, whether I work for you on a daily basis or for the week. I'd be willing to do this for 2 x the clean. I'd be confident of getting £200 on a four weekly basis over the next week and possibly more. If it works between us, i'd be willing to canvas weekends in the future and help you to expand or start afresh. I base my window cleaning prices on £20 per hour, (eg £10 for a 3 bed semi) but could either price it for you as you wish or pass on the lead for you to price. All the finer details we could discuss between ourselves.
I'd sign whatever you want me to so that I can't take the work from you. I have enough of my own anyhow and always believe in fair conduct in business.
I am based in Dudley, but willing to travel around the Midlands.
If you are interested in increasing your round or starting afresh and need tips or advice please inbox me (though i don't know whether thats available on here) or email pdale1970 at hotmail.co.uk or phone 07941 494104.

Just try nick idea and see post very ethical.
-
where abouts in dudley are you based pdale im in upper gornal pretty busy at the moment way behind beacause of the weather but need to make a cull soon got some custies i may need to replace. nothing definate though but always interested in any ideas to make a better round.
-
I don't see anything unethical at all Garyf, the way i read your thread you are in the thinking stages about canvassing on a Saturday and putting the work on ebay for the world to bid, whereas i'm willing to canvas direct for someone here on this site over the next week. To be honest i didn't realise that you were Birmingham until i just clicked on your profile, but i do believe in a free market and if somebody wishes for me to canvas for them direct, rather than bid for work on ebay then that's what i'm willing to do. Nobody has exclusivity to do any type of work, whether that be window cleaning, or canvassing.

This thread is starting to look like the gornal window cleaning club, it wasn't what I intended lol
-
picking up work pretty regular no advertising mainly recomends. havent seen the £4 brigade i think i am on the low side but more than that gives me a decent living but got no mortgage or debts.

yes snowing quite heavy now. phoned a few up cancelling next week. might resign myself to having the week off. i am really keen pike fisherman so if i can get to the venues thats what i will be doing a bit sad but looking forward to it. dont normally have any time off so i like to think i deserve it. this weather wont last that forever
-
Well been out today for someone and picked up I think it was 14 new jobs plus a conny roof. Going back out tomorrow. If anyone else wants any canvassing doing give me a call. 07941 494104. May make a regular thing of it throughout the year.
-
I sent you an email on the same day as you posted. I'm still waiting for a response!
-
Just checked, you went into my junk folder for some reason which I rarely check. Feel free to give me a call for an informal chat if it's something you are looking for.
-
hiya paul you ok mate not seen you about for a while. this seems a good business opportunity. been doin a bit myself this week. its a good time to do this as people have overspent at xmas and want to tighten a few belts as to speak. you still got the volvo mate.
-
Hi alan, yeah all good here, hope you and wife are well. It's something I thought of doing with snow on the ground, at least it gets me out, may do weekends through the year.
I'm still around, got a blue golf estate now. Got another year on my studies, so may hang up the ladder then.
How come you canvassing? Still after more work? Hows the round been going?
-
sids been getting a few more for me. he has been a bit poorly lateley with diabetes nice chap. its nice to have a few more customers under my belt. the round is goin great mate. me and jen are ok thanks, hows your lads.
-
Growing up fast. I like sid, shame about him being ill, send him my regards. Saw you in wombourne a few months back opposite the coop garage.
-
mainly stick locally mate saves petrol.
-
I have just updated my linkedin profile to take canvassing into consideration.

-
seem to have a problem gettiinto linkdin mate. will try later
-
You need to be signed in yourself I think?
-
Wrong link, thanks. Changed to the public view link http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/paul-dale/5/b9a/5a6
-
i know you were doin a law degree sid said. obviously you want to do finish it. good for you mate. then you can make some serious money. maybe you could help me out when i smash a few customers in the face ;D
-
well the gardening business was a waste of time. to much competition. we didnt really like it that much anyway and sid gets them anyway so hes ok there. i really was goin for the specialist side planting schemes which i still love and thinking down the line as sideline of a organic lawntreatment will probably call it greenfum ;D. will pee off the competition but i know how its done. did all the courses and all city guilds.
-
The weekends are starting to be booked up. If anyone is interested feel free to get in touch.
-
Hi Paul sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday but when you didn't contact me on my mobile I just thought that you were too busy etc. However I've just checked my voicemail on my house phone and there you were lol!
I will be ok at the moment though because I'm two weeks behind but I will be in touch again.

Hi Kev, thanks for the message. I did ring twice and thought perhaps you'd changed your mind. There was a terrible echo on the voicemail when i was leaving the message though, really offputting lol.
Give me a call when you are ready, i'll be busy catching up with my round over the next couple of weeks now the snow is thawing. I do recognise your van from your picture and seen you around.
