We use releasit and Fiber plus pads with either a cimex, orbot or our trusty old chemspec rotobrite machines (a 50kg 20" rotary with built in sprayer)
Trialled a new product yesterday which we will monitor to see how we'll the appearance is retained. It wont be available outside a franchise network but will be interesting to see where they are at.
The protection element we have found is the most important part of any encap product. Many clean well and have a protector element to them but when you observe the rate at which they resoil there is quite a difference between them.
I keep meaning to put a video together to show this.
Maybe when things quieten down a bit I will get the chance.
Not all products contain protector and if your periodic visits are close enough together may not be required. However I would want any job even an annual clean to hold its appearance as long as possible otherwise I could just scrub it with powerburst and be done.

I would highly recommend release it from Jamie this is the very best LM product I have used, I've got an old Cimex r38 and used the scotchbrite pads the minging carpet tiles I cleaned this afternoon came up like new water stains from a window left open in the office just disappeared as well as a leak from the kitchen, 500 yards done in 4 hours from vac to clean I prefer to turbo dry so I can vac again carpet was dry when left.

Jamie did you say you had some special pads for rotarys to use this method?

Had a very similar job as Shaun today, and I echo what he says. 16 year old office carpet tiles, very badly maintained. I really thought I was going to have to hot water the entrance but I just smiled to myself at the result with the Cimex instead. Was a nice easy shift.
DS2 Jamie.

Lee forgetbthe cimex and get the hbot, much more versitile ;)

I only have the pads I 8" or 20" at the moment. They last about 1000m2 per pad and make a considerable difference over conventional floor pads.

I have used everything to be honest. The main one before Encap was Chemspec DFC and bonnet pads. So basically the same method you are currently using.
-
Could I have an honest answer here please... ??
as you know I only LM/encap clean.. I currently use fusion clean from solutions, along with HD microsplitter if really grubby..
how good is releasit in comparison?
-
paul ,,,,,i no and trust me iv been looking and watching utube clips of the hbot.....read here that you have 1 n guess you like it ....
csuk then i guess there is a improvment to be had by going encap
Thanks Lee G

Hector , releaseit is great but environ is better

The way I look at it is that bonnet cleaners will only absorb a small amount of soil before they begin spreading.
The Encap products at least trap the soil preventing it getting back on the fibres and the protector (if present) helps to repel it making post vacuum removal easier.
Bonnet cleaners like activator, Rotobrite and fusion clean all contain copolymer protectors but rely on frequent changes or cleans of pad to work efficiently. Rotobrite with Stainshield is a slight exception here as it also contains encapsulating polymers unlike the others.
The big difference with Encap is that the pads provide better agitation enabling you to work faster. No changing pads, dipping, wringing etc etc, I would still carry bonnet pads for really heavily soiled areas at entry points etc just to pull a little out to save having to extract etc.

Forgot about that one. We have also had great results with it. Environ is loaded with surfactants and has the benefit of peroxide booster and works really well on machines with sprayers mounted like the Orbot and our Old Rotobrites.
It has an amazing 1:128 dilution for maintenance work and can be used as a tile & grout cleaner too.

Did all my LM stuff with exactly the same method Lee, moved to a Cimex 48 with fibreplus pads and DS2 earlier this year, far better results. Only downside chem cost increase significantly but worth it.
