Title: Testing new brushes
Post by: H h20 on February 11, 2006, 06:58:41 pm
As some of you will know,i use Salmon brushes and today iv`e been busy sorting a couple of new ones,i`ve sorted a swivel brush for getting at windows that are above garages and roofs that are on an angle i have`nt jetted it yet im still wondering weather to use fan or pencil,it will also be good for getting between railings that are a pain on some of the new 3 storey houses,
and iv`e also sorted a small stiffer bristles brush for cleaning really grubby windows ,upvc and conservatory roofs, here`s a pic see what you think,Gaz  :D

Hey, keep up the good work man.
Been using your new brush taday, works a treat.

The brush is the crux of wet window cleaning, so you attention on the matter is most certainly hitting the spot.  ;D

vikan for sale, £10 inc p&P

cant beleive vikans have been so popular. if you rub your hand over it, its full of bits, stuck betwwen the soggy bristles. ...therefore missing the spot(s)!  :P

Well done Gaz,
You may need to find away of slowing down the swivel action because it helps if the joint has a "stiffness" to it when working at angles.
I found that stiffer bristles slowed down the cleaning action a bit like using a "wire brush" however I take your point about initial clean scrubs. As your obviously capable of, why not have 2 sets of "jets" one over the top and one set through and have the ability top use either or or both.

I have`nt tested the swivel brush yet to see how it copes but me being me will find a way of sorting out any problem  ;D,
and i`m not sure if 4 jets will be any good as it will reduce the flow out of each jet and i like a good squirt  :o.
I`ll be testing it out this week,Gaz  ;)

Gaz 2 ott and two through the brush with a small valve beteen would allow either pair to be used.

You may need 3 "Y" connectors and 2 valves from B&Q and some of their micropipe.

I think these brushes work fantastic with just two pencil jets as the bristles dont seem to hinder the water like the vikan brushes.
