Title: Clarke CBM 240e pump doing weird things
Post by: Dora Jarr on January 17, 2013, 02:27:07 pm
Had this pump for about four years, been ok until earlier this year when it started playing up - kind of can't get itself going.  Sort of pulses - like there's a blockage or something.

It's not ice, as this happens in the summer too.

Any ideas?  Is it just knackered?

same pump as mine, never had any problems is it the one with electronic bits on top?

that does a few things like stopping it from running dry etc. Could be something to do with that.

If its wrapped up in blankets, is it overheating?

No, it's in a cold garage.

Ok Dora, I thought they needed an "air gap" around them

yeah thats the one, just thinking it could be that which is become faulty thinking there's no water coming in a shutting it off. What lights are showing on the front? .. i dont no if u can take it off or not.

I cant remember where my instructions are for it or if i even still have them.

That pump does kick out some heat mines in the garage too in a boxed area with the RO after a few hours its toasty in there  ;D
