Not when it is covered in snow , No offense mate but some windys on here are to scared to go out incase custys twist about water possibly freezing on windows and pavements .

I have been called keen , daft  and crazy ( i prefer crazy) for cleaning in snow, freezing temps and having to walk on icy ground and risking injury .

Pleased some custys are concerned for me but unless they are happy to pay all my bills while i sit at home until the winter is over they can suck it up.

I take care and salt footpaths etc were any of my water has frozen . Mike

I don't mind working in cold weather but when it's -7 your asking 4 trouble. There too window cleaners on my street do it the traditional way and its taken then easy an 30 mins to clean 1 house to me they might aswell throw towel in and go home :-))

We're trad, and every year we get extreme cold spells here in the Fatherland  ;) We can trad down to about minus 6 to minus 8 depending on a few factors like wind etc. When there's snow, we clean only the downstairs and charge a few €'s less. Everyone seems happy with this. had a few comments about being nuts to work in this cold etc, but most comment about how good it is to see us and we get more tea's and coffees because they must feel sorry for us!!! ;D ;D

M & M, I don't expect custies to understand that we need to work. They just see if the windows are dirty. If you manage to pay your bills doesn't interest them, and why should it? I don't care if my postman has enough to get by. It's his job, if he can't work, what's that got to do with me? Window cleaning isn't life and death, if you dump them because they're not bothered about your bills, they'll get someone else to clean the windows. Or is there a shortage of WC's in UK?

I dont intend to dump them it just bewilders me , they obviuosly think I have an endless pot of money and can afford to stay home when it is snowing and cold. Mike

Spot on. Pleading about health and safety, but really petrified of an ignotant comment from a customer that can be easily corrected.

No Mike, they just don't care mate. I didn't mean YOU would dump them, maybe that came across wrong. I'm saying that the  custy doesn't really care about your income. They want their windows cleaned. If they don't want them done all year, I dump them and get custies who do want all year cleaning. However, I don't expect them to actually think about my secure income or if I have bills to pay. The deal is "Want a window cleaner all year"? Yes or no. Not "I clean whether you want it or not because I've got bills to pay"

Hope that explains how I see it a bit clearer.  ;)
