Title: BT phone scam
Post by: frankwii on January 15, 2013, 09:29:00 pm
heads up -
some gentleman has just phoned me from BT and demanded i pay my outsanding phone bill over the phone - I told him i was with Virgin - but he continued to spin a story that they are part of Virgin and can cut off the phone  .
He did cut off the phone when we finished and  called back afterwards  -
obviously i told him TGFed

New scam is they put you on hold to tell you have been cut off - and then demand credit card details  - SON of dogs

If they phone you and do not disconnect the call, when you pick up the phone you will still be connected to them. Then they hang up and call you back.
