Title: Smallish machine

Hi everyone.. I'm looking for a small portable extractor for daily use from the back of the car.. I have been using a numatic 900.2 for a few years and it seems good but hard work... I have thought about prochem galaxy.. Any suggestions would be very helpful!! I mainly clean domestic flats and houses :-)

Alltec Express would be my choice. The Prochem Galaxy is good and we have a few customers with them. The Alltec machine however packs the same punch as some of the larger machines out there.

Go with the Alltec Express machine with in-line heater if you can.

If you do a lot of properties with no hot water then the airflex mini twin vac with a magma heater is great but costs more than the alltec express

I use the Mitey One Hybrid Turbo ........ spotter but also usable as a booster for main machine, if needed ......... would have gone for new taller Jaguar Cub  ;D

I use the Alltec Express (twin vac with heater) for flats and other properties with no TM access.  Works great, but you will have to refill several times for a large property. :)

How do you find the heater when filled with cold water

I pretty much always use the heater.
If there is no hot water available I use the heater to heat the water for the pre-spray - e.g. 5 litres and then pump it out into my pre-spray pumpup sprayer - works great.
I then refill and it will then take maybe 20 mins or so,  to heat a complete load (around 20 litres).
The in-tank heater I have fitted is adjustable and works really well. :)

The Express looks like a good machine... anyone had any issues with it regarding reliability ?
Whats the performance like of the inbuilt heater?

When I bought mine in march 2012, you had the choice of either an in-tank heater (which I chose) or an in-line heater - not sure if this is still the case though.
