Nowhere near as good as the 2.0HDI.
If you weight up to limit, you'll struggle.
-
thanks
-
its not one u mentioned, but i have a 1.9d berlingo, 600kg, pulls fine, slower up hills,

cheers may be the same engine, may try get the 2 litre, there are some bargains to be had for the 1.9 tho, need to put in a 400L delivery system and a Guttervac, ladders and tools, but then if I occasionally want to run as a two man team out of it then the 2L makes sense

Me too. I wouldn't say they're underpowered - I'm not a speed freak - but I wish I got a van with a bigger carrying capacity as in weight wise.
-
Ive had a couple of dispatch and 1 scudo van the last few years so i guess you can conclude that i do like the van.
But it is really only good for a 1 man setup. With 400L in the back a passenger and kit your on the borderline for weight.
Don't expect to be overtaking anything either.
If you have 2 people in it on a daily basis then you're going to be left wishing you had more.

i had one last year this van had 63k it was a compleat night mare it was a 1.9 .look at my old post to many things went on inthe first mnth i had it i took it back to dealer and got a .transit its like owt else you get a dodgy one now and then id have another simply for the twin side doors has i have my reel mounted on the tank frame,so you can do opposit side of road with out moving van i only got transit cos thats all they had in my price range and short notice still a good van though

Definitely. I work with my Missis and we can nearly empty 400 litres in a morning, depending on our work; in fact it makes us organise our work around it, and more often than not, I drop her home at lunch time and head out again by myself.
She quite likes it like that mind.

ive had mine since 2006, its an 04. Bad points are the locks, they do fail in time. Ive got a 450 ltr system in it.
Good points, everything!! but do not go for the new shape, they are trouble, old shape that i have are great.
I keep promising myself a new van, but ive got no reason to change, bulletproof.

I used to struggle going up hills etc. I now have the HDI version and it pulls lovely :)

I used to struggle going up hills, but I'm fitter now; six days till my first marathon. My van however goes up them no problems, just not very fast!
But I would've preferred the HDI version 'cos it's got a heavier carrying capacity I believe.

i have 2 experts 1.9
very good yes a bit slugish
hdi not good a repairs when thing start going they do

I have a 1.9d scudo x reg its slow but will pull alot! I once had all my gear in plies 500 hundred litres plus a car trailer with an escort van on it now that tested it it pulled it but was well slugish
-
one of my custys is a mecanic he dose a lot of hdi taxis he says the hdi models are trouble compared to the old shape 1.9 are a bit slugish but quite reliable in his opinion
-
I would get something bigger, 400ltrs is never enough for a full days work! I had all kinds of problems with my Dispach, and yes it was very sluggish with a full tank of water in the back!

Just bought a near new Dispatch 2.0HDi 125ps 1200kg L2H1 LWB, it's only got 800 miles on the clock.
I had it professionally waterproofed last Thursday (LINE-X) got a 650ltr two man set up going in on Wednesday it's also getting liveried then, roof rack just ordered today for delivery tomorrow.
We used to have a peugeot expert 1.9d a few years ago and i thought it was underpowered.
