I looked at this too, decided it wasn't up to the job like the others, to big, takes up floor space, to much altering for it to fitted, takes up floor space, have to strap it down to make sure it don't move. That's why I went for L5.

But yer its great working with hot water, everything stays nice! Even the an stays nice and warm!

Legally it has to be, it's gas, it has a hose connected to it and a gas bottle, so needs to be held still when in transit. Guess you not got gas bottle striped down either or a LPG warning sticker on the outside of the van either??

Yer they do the job.

You said the gas bottle needs to be strapped down and i didn`t say i didn`t have it strapped down and if you are refering to the heater then no i don`t have it "strapped" down i have it fitted to a heatproof shelf

That’s interesting, what about when you put the pump pressers to 70 or 80, will it catch up to heat the water?

No you just don`t turn the power on so it just acts as a straight through flow for cold the 12v power on is to activate the ignition

I dont have the space for a floor mounted heater. I have my L5 fixed to one side now. I'm not sure why I bought it. It does seem more robust than the l5. Perfect  for on demand not so good for circulating.
My mate may have it yet. I will see him Monday.

not really, just spent about 2 months research on all the portable gas heaters there are that can be used within a van, and the L5 is the smallest one, space saving,  can be mounted anywhere, one that dont need any changing, easy to get fittings for, economical one thats on the market for under £170.

its always worth doing the reseach first as its a lot of money to spend on something that you cant walk into a shop and see all the diffrent types in front of you.

I usually work on 40 pump out to the brush, so I don’t think this unit will heat the water that quick at that speed.
