I'm still learning WFP and currently
1) brush the glass, with the water flowing, to agitate the dirt
2) lift the brush about 2-4 inches away from the surface to rinse.
Reading on this site about ''rinsing on the glass'' I'm confused as to what the actual technique is as it sounds as if you
1) brush the glass, with the water flowing, to agitate the dirt
2) brush the glass, with the water flowing, to rinse.
Have I understood correctly?

Scrub/ brush top frame left / right etc..
scrub / brush side frames
scrub brush on top frame / glass left to right
then brush / scrub up down all the way across the window stopping short of top frame
then start from glass just below top frame and brush / rinse left to right all the way to bottom of window
you can then go back and rinse off with brush off glass if required
finish off brushing sills
sounds alot but its taken me longer to type this than it would do it
Not saying this is right each to their own and all that
hope that helps

I rinse on the glass, not sure as to what others do, but i tilt the brush so one side is against the glass and the other slightly away to rinse , chase the water down the glass from side to side alternating the edge of the brush thats resting on the glass as I go, if that makes sense. ;)

Rinsing with brush on the glass is fine accept with a flocked brush which could hold dirt in the flocking.I use fan jet so its better to lift the brush off the glass so the fans can rinse the width of the glass. Even this is not really necessarily.

Rinse the glass as you would after you finish cleaning your car. I usually lift one side of the brush up and go along the top and back again, job done.
