Why add payment details on website . . . . . better to leave customers with your bank account details, so the payment is direct and free of fees !

Make it as easy as possible for them to pay you.
We have PayPal imbedded on the site.
Izettle as of yesterday (not used it yet)
BACS upon request (I discourage BACS for domestics and encourage SO)
And will take pretty much anything of value as payment!

Why do you discourage Bacs?

Cause it means sifting through the statement, prefer SO.
We have hundreds of domestic customers, if they all paid BACS it'd take forever finding each payment.
Only have 2 domestic that BACS after an invoice is generated because they run their own businesses from home.
Just personal preference.

Don't you check that your SOs are received?

The names will show up when they make a payment via bacs, so this is the easiest method for us, plus there are no costs, but if you want to pay a slice of your profits to another company go for it  ???

Yeah, but the ones that pay SO are very good so I only check a couple of times a year.
Not that I'm advising that-just works for us.

So you could be cleaning for 6 months unpaid. I have a list of debtors via Aworka and every day or two I check my account and remove from the list of dbtors those that have paid.

It costs 2.9% +20p per transaction.

I have very few customers who pay me this way... But it's just another option for them... Most of my customers pay by bank transfer.

Payatrader costs less than Nochex. Rates are 2.3% to 2.9% for MasterCard & Visa  (the system automatically applies the best rate based on your weekly turnover) with no extra fees on top. www.payatrader.com (http://www.payatrader.com). Gives you 5 ways to take a payment, plus you can add a mobile chip&pin terminal without any complex paperwork.

A very popular method with our window cleaner customers is the facility to email a payment request with a payment link. Customers just click to pay from their inbox.  :-*
