I know it a bit of a daft question but mind drawn a blank what's is the best why to word it that you have sold round and new window cleaners takeing over I sat at computer last night and every time I put it down it looked daft what I had said can anyone's who's sold round a made a note send me a copy cheers laurie

When i buy work i tell whoever im buying it from to tell customers that he's mate is going to be doing it for a while to avoid any dropouts, after a while customers wont even give it a 2nd thought.
-
Probably not best to mention that you've sold the round as it may make them think that you've profited from them, just say that a new person, give his name, contact number etc, will be taking over and hope that they'll continue to use his services and let him do the rest.
-
I wonder where it would leave you legally if the person
you sold the round to.
Damaged the windows.
Stole from the property.
Or a lot worse.
After all the custy agreed to let you clean their windows not
some stranger that you have sole it on to.
Worth thinking about.

dear sir / madame,
thank you for your custom over the years, however i have decided to downsize / get rid of some rubbish customers / emigrate etc. however so as not to leave you having to search for another window cleaner i have arranged for ....................., to clean your windows. they will carry on as before and will be around shortly to introduce themselfs / clean your windows
kind regards
etc

Dear Mr / Mrs ..................,
Due to an ever increasing workload I have asked a college of mine; Frank Jones of Mad Frankie Frasers Window Cleaning to look after your area for the near future.
I prefered to let you know in advance so when a new person shows up to clean your windows you are aware in advance.
Mad Frank will be taking over from next months clean.
If you need to talk to me my number in case you dont have it is 0777 777 77777 and Franks number is 0777 124578 777.
Many Thanks
Ian @ 101 window licking services.

NEVER use the term SOLD ;)
-
Try:
"I've now been cleaning your windows for X years.
In all honesty, I've always considered you to be a
commodity, not a customer. So, in the same way
that Id flog a clapped out stereo on Ebay, I put
you up for sale. Someone bid for you (not much,
but enough that I dont want you any more) so
from next time, itll be someone I dont know
cleaning your windows. Hopefully, that is, if he
can get his R Reg Mondeo running. Oh, and make
sure you keep up payments as hes just out of
Dartmoor after a long stretch for GBH."
NEVER tell a customer youve sold them. Tell them someones helping for a while. Theyll have forgotten you after a few months.
-
when we have bought work we always tell the customer we paid for it, never a problem, some say didnt know you could sell it, but thats all
-
Ian, you've got a memorable phone number ;)
