Fortunately for me Jan, Feb, March are one of my busiest times. Being a touristy place holiday cottages ,pubs , hotels etc need to get work done now before the season starts. Having said that domestic work is steady away. My quiet time if any is July & August ,but I dont mind that !

Hi Guys,
The last two weeks in Jan were a bit slow but last 2 weeks have been good.
As for YP I only have a quarter column which has brought in 2 jobs so far this year so nothing very exiting there.
Cheers

exceptionly busy here, even trying to give work away to my local colleuges but even they are to busy to cover
-
January was very busy for me, this month is a little slower though.....
-
Yes - I have to agree with most of you work is steady, mainly domestic - steady as she goes.
-
Great thread but it would of made more sense if I knew where you all were.
To get an overall picture of the current trend in cleaning up and down the country it would have been better if your areas had been included with the posts.
I myself am in the Wolverhampton area where Jan tends to be a bit slow, I have always put it down to folks paying off their credit cards after the Christmas big spends. Though there are the weather watchers I have to consider too who talk about snow and leaving their carpets till after the bad weather has gone. What bad weather I think to myself, what they really mean is I'm skint after Xmas but I carn't say that.
Regards
Dave

Yellow pages waste of money...............dont bother.
-
Fibre Reviver,
I tend to disagree, we get in the region of 10x return on Yellow Pages/Yell outlay, though we do get a far better return on local paper ads and postal flyers.
we've been steady all of Jan, some domestic and a lot of commercial/tourist based work. Feb is looking ok, this week is fully booked, got a few jobs in for next week.
-
Giving Yell a miss this year. I planned three years ago to back in for three years, and they are now up, so I'll try my money elsewhere and see what happens.
Dave.

busiest start to the year i've ever had
-
i'm in Dorset, the first couple of weeks in January were really quiet, but now i'm rushed of my feet, & seems it will continue.
As for yellow pages, they seem to be good for the bigger towns and cities, but I've found not very good for the outskirt area's.

I'm always busy infact I've never had a day off unless it's been forward planned for donkeys years but I would like to be even busier if I can fit more in! (if that makes sense)
