Yeah, same here, about 4hrs and it's plenty hot enough. After a day on the glass i usually come home, fill the van tank up with pure and slap the immersion on, then turn it off before I go to bed. Then, in the morning I usually just put it on when I'm having my breakfast and then off I go for another day on the glass.

Will 4 hours be enough for a full 650 litre tank? I was led to believe it might be nearer 10 hours to leave water around the 20-25 degrees?
-
Hi i leave my 650lt tank on for 12 hours and it is set to at 50`and works very well for me

F@*# me, that's using pulling 36kw , hope you have it wired to the right grade of wire and it's own ring to the fuse board, otherwise it could be a fire waiting to happen, any overheating and the van or the house or both could catch fire!

hi i have put my water pump from my pond inside the water tank
and what that does is move the water round my tank, so the water
on both side of the baffle is the same tempiture and i put it on about
3am till 8 and have the pond pump on at times as well and have that
come about 15 minutes every hour it is on and i can get the water up to
about 30 to 40 degrees
