Post by: geefree on January 03, 2013, 12:02:41 am
By a country mile.,

Did any of you feel the pinch this xmas?... never expect them and they really are a bonus,

But really felt them drop this year... especially the 9.50 calls, waiting for 50p change. ha!

I got €35 in tips this year - I don't expect tips really in this area, but that was dismal even by my standards!

Hey guys, sorry haven't checked in lately on the site but was just browsing and saw this.
Sorry but broke all records this year...... £531 5 bottles of wine 3 boxes of chocolates.
But then I have been at it 28 years. And some of my customers are still the originals. Suppose I am part of their family (feels like it) pity it's all taxable  :'(

Yep all tips are classed as taxable so hmrc want their slice, gifts are classed as income in kind, not  sure what the value of their worth for declaration is as have only ever been given one can of beer!

I was offered over just over £100 this year plus a couple of cans.

It was fractionally better actually; but every year I have been offered about a hundred pounds. Mind you the round is twice the size what it was three years ago, so proportionately less.

Not really, I sent 20% of my quality streets to HMRC-the orange ones.
