Title: Pad system, LM, DF.
Post by: tonner0 on January 02, 2013, 10:43:42 pm
I would like to wish everybody a Happy New Year and have question for anybody that uses a pad system: How do you get the pads clean and what is the best way of getting them white. I use Dry Fusion and find the pads come out of my washing machine more grey than white I have tried up to a 60 degree wash with little difference. I think I have been through nearly every program on the washing machine and they still come out grey. It's not good when the customer sees you starting off with a half dirty pad. I have tried stain removers and whiteners. Any ideas?

I think it's pretty much accepted that they turn grey after a couple of uses.

The only thing that gets them properly white is thick bleach. This slowly breaks down the pads and corrodes your washing machine. Just rinse with them and accept the grey.

Same as above posts really..

Also i would put your washing machine on an empty wash after you have washed your pads..

The biggest enemy to the washing machine is staples. (If you do commercials)

We regularly have to open our machines up to remove them from the waste outlet.

Bang a load of oxi product in with them. Plenty of 1kg tubs in the cheap shops for a couple of quid. Big difference.

And take em to the launderette before you screw your own machine up.

Would hoovering first and picking up staples as you vac'd not be easier than hunting around in a washing machine ?

No matter how hard we tried to get rid of them before cleaning they only really come out when the heavier machine and pad goes over letting them anchor into it.

We have 2 recon Miele machines just for bonnet pad laundering so don't need to worry about the Mrs kicking our heads in.
