Title: leather
Post by: tonyg on February 09, 2006, 08:34:27 pm
I have just paid a local leather speciaist £300 for a 2 day course in how to clean  leather.
My wife has just informed me that for the last 15 years she has cleaned ours with fairy liquid and warm soapy water.
I have had to admit that it looks as good as new and the leather is really soft and looks great.
Please tell the dope that she is wrong and my money was well spent !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello

I would hope that if you have invested the money in such a course that you could fully explain this to her yourself. !!!! also that I hope you can now do minor repairs and aniline restoration and not just cleaning.  Hopefully the products that you have been trained on are good as some of the products out there are no better or worse than using fairy liquid!!!!!

Regards
