Has anybody uses email newsletters successfully?

Never tried Dave, but Ill give you my thoughts anyway ;D

The reason I don't think it will work is people (and this is what I do with newsletter emails) will just mark it as junk, from then on it goes straight into their junk box and will never see it again.

You could try getting your customer attention by using something like

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!!!!!!!  Breaking news! (What’s the betting some one will pick up on this?) ;D ;)

With the amount of Junk Mail we get nowadays do Paper Newletters work.  With Cooking Tips etc or is it a nice idea  past its sell by date.

Logically to me a Letter or postcard direct o the point is the way to go.

With emails a Jeading making it Clear its a reminder about Cleaning their Carpets with a Special.

You usually have to read Heading and who its from
